Hi! I'm a registered nurse here in the Philippines graduated last 2010, and I started working last February 2012 up to April 2014 then I stopped because I got married and had a baby. I'm planning to go back on duty this May 2017. I' m also planning to take the nclex this year. I'm just wondering if I'm still elegible for Texas state since as of July 2016 "An applicant must have worked within the 4 years preceding the filing of the examination application AND be within 4 years of his/her date of eligibility in order to sit for the NCLEX. For purposes of the NCLEX, the date of eligibility is defined as the issuance date for the initial Authorization to Test (ATT)." Could anyone enlighten me. Or suggest any state where I can apply. Thank you.

The short answer is "maybe." Being very familiar with the TxBON, how often things change, and their willingness to help if you can get the right person on the phone: It's best to just call them and talk about your situation with them. They are human beings and most are actually pretty nice once you get someone on the phone. Some days, no wait to talk to a person, some days an hour to get a person. So either plan to wait, or just keep calling back for a few days until the wait isn't so bad. When I have to call, I usually plan to sit on hold and read or whatever until someone picks up. They've been very helpful in the past, and may be able to make suggestions with options.
Thank you for your reply. I will try to call later this afternoon, I hope this helps me understand what to do next. Again, thank you so much sir.
