I am very excited and proud to say that I made it through nursing school!! I officially walk across the stage on June 14. But we have no more exams, quizzes, or graded things left. I PASSED!!!! I can't believe I made it! There were so many times I was just ready to give up and I thought there was no way in hell that I could EVER be a nurse.

Nursing school has changed me for the better. It has made me mature. :monkeydance: Haha... I kind of don't like that it made me more mature. I entered nursing school when I was 19 and now I'm 21. I made a comment to an instructor now that I feel like I'm so boring and mature and that I didn't like that nursing school made me more mature. (*I was joking by the way) And she said that nursing school has a tendency to do that. You have to have a pretty good amount of maturity to take care of other people and to do nursing effectively. Its weird because all of my friends were graduating from college and they're all like "HEY LETS GO OUT AND PARTY!" And then little old mature, responsible me says "No, I can't I have to do NCLEX questions and get up for clinical at 5 am tomorrow. So I"ll probably be in bed by 10." ahahaha.

It was worth all the sacrifice that I had to make in order to get through it. I didn't have a life for 2 years. I turned 21 last August and I've been to the bar about 5 times total. What 21 year old could you talk to that can honestly say they didn't spend the entire month after they turned 21, in a bar or a club every single night? I gave up partying, gave up hanging out with friends 24/7, and gave up having a life. But now I get to have a happy and fun life now that I'm a graduate nurse.

I am VERY glad to have made it this far but its not over yet. Still gotta pass the NCLEX! I really can't even truely celebrate until I have my diploma in one hand and my nursing license in the other.

Good luck to everyone struggling through nursing school. If you think you can't make it .. just hold on tight, say your prayers, read the messages on this forum and study your ass off. If you want it bad enough... you'll get it.

Oh and then if by chance you get bored or have some free time ( HAHAHQHAHHAHAH like you ever have free time in nursing school:lol2:)....

Read "The Secret" By Rhonda Byrne. Its life changing. And it will teach you how to turn those negative thoughts into postiive ones. And also about the law of attraction that allows you to have basically anything you want as long as you TELL YOURSELF you cxan get it, and it will happen. I just read it last week. I wish I had read it sooner.

Well thats all for now, .... We have an Nclex review course tomorrow morning for 6 hours soo I must go to bed because I am soooooooo tired.

Thanks to everyone here who has answered my questions or helped me in any way. And thanks to daytonite for being VERY helpful!!!

I can honestly say nursing has NOTHING to do with how "smart" you are. Its entirely different from high school, and its somewhat like college. My grades in high school were horrendous. I barely passed! I got D's on everything. I almost didn't graduate. I had to take a few classes in summer school in 9th grade, etc. But in college I made a complete 360 and got all A's and B's in my classes. Now in nursing school I'm graduating with a 3.2. :balloons:

When I was 21 I wasn't in bars or clubs. I've nevr been that kinda girl. Actually, I've only been to one club in my life. It would have been two, but I went to dinner with my friends, went to change my clothes and ride with someone else and forgot my ID, so I didn't get to go in!

Nursing school does require maturity for sure. I don't think some people realize the sacrifice.
