Not for me, this year. We have just started with the FLU. They keep dropping like flies around here. Not to mention our 7-9 students take this time to come see me.

When the kid that has needed glasses forever.........finally gets them and comes in to show me!!!! Then, he / she is amazed out how clear the world has suddently become. It reminds me of why I became a school nurse.

I also love that they finally turned on the air conditioner!!! It was warm, and I was getting some students getting lightheaded from being hot. Now they're just coming in saying they think they have a fever b/c they're shivering. :lol2: Wear some clothes to school and you'll be warm!

i love field trip days.....much slower on these days.

i love picture day.....same reason.

i love (few and far between) teachers who respect me as a professional.

i love it when a parent says "thank you" to me when picking up their sick child. (doesn't take much to make me happy !)

i love it when a principal asks my opinion on medical subjects. (happens rarely)

i love a good snow day.

i love the truly needy students who are not trying to "con" me.

I love being a substitute mom to all my little darlins ( PreK-12th )

I love it when a child says Thank you I feel better!

I love the friends I have in my teachers.

I love when parents ask for advice and follow it (they tend to come back and say thank you)

I love when a kiddo comes to me still talking about something I taught their class months earlier, and they actually remember it correctly...

...when something I say or suggest is VALIDATED by the doctor or parent...

...I really love that just about the time you are ready to pull your hair out, you can pretty much bet there is a vacation/holiday around the corner (two days 27 minutes until Spring Break!)

I love testing days, All day field trips, teachers that don't send kids to the health room for every little thing, parents that keep their sick kids home.
