It's been months since I posted here from the last time I passed the NCLEX-RN exam. It's one of the happiest experiences in my life. After passing, I enjoyed some time with hubby then started engaging into the Job Search. I can say, I'm truly blessed by God for just 2 weeks of job search, I found a hospital job and got hired at a Medical Surgical Unit, my dream job!! And to think, I do not have any experiences at all. The work is busy and could be crazy sometimes, some patients are not really nice at all and most of all overwhelming ( 1st nursing job). But at the end of the day, I find myself fulfilled and happy. I've never felt this way in any of the jobs I had in the past. I see my myself at bedside care for some years and I am really interested in advancing my career later on. To end my discussion, I can say, that WE NURSES ROCK! :):up:

Congratulations, new grads! I'm an old nurse ;) and I love my job, too! ( I've also been around long enough to know how incredibly fortunate I am to be able to say that!)

Congrats! I too love my job. I work Onc/Palliative and though some nights I just want to run away (to the mountains with a pitcher of margaritas) for the most part, I am very happy. It's good feeling, isn't it.

OP, thanks for your positive post. It is so good to see that in-spite of everything negative about the profession, nursing is still full-filling and exciting. Congrats. We need more people like you in nursing.
