stupid question---what is MRDD? not completely sure what this means.

MR/DD=Mentally retarded(no longer considered polite)/developmentally disabled or delayed.

Good for you! Not enough people say that they enjoy their work. Hold on to it tight mate, hold on to it!

That is nice to hear! I'm in the process of searching for the right job for me. Sometimes I take a break from this board b/c of negativity. Not being nasty it's a hard job and I've vented here too but I got to a point it's depressing so it's nice to hear something good!

Tell me about :uhoh3: I didn't come to this forum for MONTHS due to the negativity, it was affecting my school work. I have decided to do this and there is no turning back..there is no time. I don't expect it to be a glamorous job, I know it's not, and venting is ok, but you're right it gets to a point where it's just depressing.

:loveya: Can I also say that I love my job! I have been working in a small interventional/diagnostic cardiac cath lab for over a year now. I never thought I would enjoy a job this much and had been through several jobs that left me depressed and bitter.

My unit is the perfect stew of the opportunity to learn new skills, better hours than any nursing job I have had in the past, a staff that is well rounded with various backgrounds and age groups, and the chance to feel like I am taking good care of my patients.
