Good luck Sunny! Sounds like you did great. I am a second timer too...and I test tomorrow! I was fine a few days ago but now I am getting butterflies in my tummy! I am a very bad test taker..I panic! So I am trying to stay calm...which I think is 90% of it. I did Kaplan and Mosby and scored pretty well on both. How did you prepare the second time? Were you much more calm this time?

Honestly, what is making me nervous, is my last test I did not have any meds...this time I did (I'd say around 7-8?), and my last question before it shut off was a med one (which I got right, not that it matters or anything). Is meds lower level? Anyone pass with these kind of questions?
Ugh, I am just so nervous to check my results this time in a few days!

Meds is neither lower level nor higher level. Just like priority and infection control questions, which people tend to think of as "higher level" questions (because they oftentimes tend to be), ANY question can be worded such that it's a below-passing-standard question, at the passing standard, or above the passing standard.

People who have gotten 75 questions may have a few, or none. Or many. Sometimes it's all in a person's perception of what "alot" really is! And sometimes, a "med question" isn't a "med question" at all, but really is testing your ability to judge--which is what this test is all about, after all. Simply being able to recall facts isn't going to pass anyone on this test. It's a test of your nursing judgment and competency in various situations.

I just took the NCLEX for the first time today. I got the same sort of questions and about 5 or so med questions. Mostly, I had the prioritizing questions. I'm a little nervous that someone brought up the very good point that a lower level question may be worded to look like it's higher level, though... Two of my friends had the same experience and passed last week, so hopefully we did just as well!

Sorry, didn't mean to make you more nervous with that! Just dispelling myths; there are SO many out there.

Odds are very good that you did pass; roughly 85% of first-time test-takers will pass. Them's good odds!

i passed!!!! :balloons:

i checked on my board of nursing (mn), and my results were up the next day (and for free!!)...

this exam i found much easier....looking back, i had alot of general questions (like positioning, etc!)...i was pessimistic, cause my first nclex i took was much harder, and has alot more priority questions on it....really! weird, huh!

i'm just soooooooooo happy i passed, guys! thank you so much for your kind words!!

p.s. this time i studied w/ kaplan online--and their questions were very similar to my 2nd exam! praise god!
