The big day is Saturday!!
My big question is, did you guys feel like you didn't know the topics that they were asking you about?
I have been studying via kaplan and hurst and I feel like I've covered a lot more material, but a lot of folks I've spoken to have said that they had no idea what the questions were talking about and basically guessed on a lot of them.
What do you guys think?

I also used Kaplan and Hurst. You will definitely know the topics, but there is still a lot of guessing involved. They will you ask you questions in which there is more than one answer that could be correct. Kaplan prepares you very well in how to choose the best answer out of 4 correct answers. It is all about your judgment. Hurst is amazing and is a great way to make sure you know the core content. Everything will at least be familiar to you, just use everything you learned from Kaplan and Hurst to pick the best answers. I don't like the word "guessed" because that seems like you have no clue. I would say choose what you think is the best. Do you feel prepared? How have your QTrainer scores been if you don't mind me asking. I'm sure you are fine. Kaplan was excellent!! I found that the Kaplan questions were definitely harder than the actual NCLEX. I am praying for you :)

Honestly, you read my post. I felt like I knew nothing. I knew a lot of the topics, but there were some I never heard of. There were meds that I throught were fake. If you're comfortable with content, you can say in your mind what the answer is but it's just picking it apart and matching it to what NCLEX wants. It turned into a mind game and really....go with your gut.

I felt totally confused, like a previous poster said, i also thought the questions were made up! lol.. remember there are 15 questions that don't count toward your score, but are 'practice' questions for the next time they change the NCLEX.
I honestly think you can study study study and know your notes backward and forward, but if you cannot apply the information in terms of prioritization scenarios etc, you will not pass..
Best of luck!!!!!! You can do this!!
My question trainer 6 was a 68, and my question trainer 7 was a 67. What do you think?
youre golden with those scores!... my QT6 was a 66 and QT7 was a 60. you'll be fine... Just go with you gut. I knew the content but it was like nitty-gritty with NCLEX you have to pick your content apart into the littlest pieces in order to get where they were coming from.. I must say I did have 2 questions whcih were very very very similar to Kaplan questions! Kaplan helped, and I gotta say once I turned that screen on and it was the some color, same font...EVERYTHING looked like a Kaplan test, my heart wasn't pounding as bad and it was a huge relief

I don't even know anything about Kaplan trainers or the Hurst review because I didn't have money to pay for them. But I got myself some text books and studied my bu.. off. After understanding the content, I went through the questions on the different cds which came with the books. By the time I went in today, my brain was feeling like it was gonna pop up with material. The computer shut off at 75, went home and got a good pop up. Back to your question, when I was answering those questions, some of them felt like they were from another planet. But because I had an idea from the content, it helped a lot. so to me, practising as many questions helps but knowing your content is the key. Because you will never know how that question is gonna be phrased on that screen (Nclex).
