I GOT THE CALL !!! I'M in the ARMY.. I'M IN THE ARMY

Posted

Just wanted to thank everyone that posted on the military forum . I have been mulling over the idea for about a year, and decided in Oct 2008 to begin my packet. I really appreciate the opportunity to serve , grow, learn, meet new friends, and of course travel. I am suppose to commission next week.

Personally, choosing the military made perfect sense. So just wanted to send out the good news. Also, to tell others to remain strong and positive if you are still awaiting your decision.

Thanks for all of the positive energy! But I have a question about having a silver dollar in your pocket? What is that all about? Or shall I soon come to find out?

its a tradition to give the first person that salutes you a silver dollar. the first one you pay for, the rest you earn.
