I got nominated into Who's Who's for Prof Women in Nursing!

Published

Well, I just got this mail telling me that I am a candidate to be in the Manchester Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women in Nursing and Healthcare. The letter went on to say that on April 12th, my candidacy was approved.

What else, it has strict criteria like "base on a candidate's current position, and usually with information obtained from researched executive and professional listing..."

Let's see... I am not even a nurse. Actually I am not even a nursing student. I am a prenursing student. Plus the obvious, I am a man!

I think I'll frame this...

ROTFLMAO!!!!

:rotfl: :chuckle :p :rotfl: :chuckle :p :lol2: :roll :roll

(Sorry!):chuckle

And how much money did they want you to pay for the honor?????

Specializes in Critical Care, ER.

That is TOOOOOOOO funny.

And how much money did they want you to pay for the honor?????

You know, I have to look at it. It is VERY official looking too.

Here it is, it is a fancy looking replay card requesting the following info:

  • Name
  • Job title
  • company name
  • company street address
  • city
  • state
  • zip
  • email
  • web site
  • signiture
  • industry
  • principal product, service or activity
  • personal specialty
  • type of business

No money requested and not too much about my own information except my name and my signature and email. Wonder what is the gimmick here...

Hey! Should I turn it in? Got any good ideas as to what to put on the above info?

Congratulations on this Prestigious Accomplishment! Quite an achievement, in light of the several small handicaps you mentioned.

By the way, I love your sig line (I've been on 3-11 for 6 years, starting 7p-7a next month).

It looks like spam to collect personal information.

There are many of these "Who's Who In ..." type yearbooks out there, for most every professional category, and the real point is for you to buy one or more copies of the book from them (gee, of course you'll want one for yourself, and you'll be so proud and excited that you'll probably want to get several extra to give to your family and friends ...) The only real "qualification" involved is that they got your name from some sort of nursing-related mailing list ...

I've gotten several of those solicitations over the years, and I always put them right in the round file.

Specializes in Hemodialysis, Home Health.

And don't forget the leatherbound version for your coffee table. :rotfl:

Yeppers. Just to get you on a mailing list, as elkpark said.

Hate to burst your bubble, Danu...bwaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaaa !!! :rotfl:

But we still love you ! :chuckle

Don't listen to them, Dan, they're just jealous!

Yes, I know they are all jealous.

I mean I am probably the first male to make it in the Who's Who among the Professional Women in Nursing and Healthcare. Boy, I feel like a pioneer...
