Hello, I promised myself if I passed the NCLEX I would share this story. Well during the second block of nursing school we had to take the Hesi test to see our chances of passing NCLEX on our first try. I was so overwhelmed with school at that point and because I had no idea on how to study for it, I ended up not studying at all. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I ended up getting a 646 on it and needed a 850 to pass I never felt so stupid in my life. One of my biggest reasons for not studying is listening to some repeaters in the class who told me there was no way to study for it, and they hadn't studied the first time around and sill got pretty decent scores. I should have known better than to listen to repeaters but I did anyway. While taking the test I felt like I knew absolutely nothing, and when it was all said and done the test score proved it. After going home and crying, I brushed myself off and started to prepare for the final for the following week, and passed it with a B :) That built my confidence a little bit . A week after graduation I started studying for the NCLEX_PN. I studied everyday for about three hours. I was determined to pass. Exactly two months after graduation I took the NCLEX exam, and a day after that found out I passed. WITH ONLY 85 QUESTIONS !!!:)
All I really want to do is give hope to any other nursing students that did horribly on the Hesi test. Get up and dust yourself off and PREPARE for NCLEX. I'm actually grateful I did so bad on Hesi all it did was motivate me to study long and hard for NCLEX. Everything happens for a reason.

Congrats!
What did you do to prepare and study for NCLEX?
I used Saunders Comprehensive Review and exam cram.
Thank you
