I got an A in A&P II!!

Published

Hi Everybody,

I did it, I got an A in A&P II! I am one happy lady today! Thank you to everybody who listened and supported me throughout the quarter. I was real stressed about this prerequisite, but I pressed forward and I was successful. Now I am down with all prerequisites and I am waiting to hear if I am accepted to the nursing program.

I got a B in A&P I, so I did much better in A&P II. It was tough but it did seem somewhat easier than A&P I. I think I enjoyed learning the physiology of the body systems and how they work together more. I also think the way my Professor taught A&P II was in a easier format we had one less exam and some take home quizzes. Also the lab practical contained less anatomy information to memorize.

Congrats! Hopefully I can say the same here in about a month.

Congratulations! I bet that took lots of hard work. What were the best tips or advice that worked for you? I'm retaking A&P I and II and need to get As in them and can use any helpful tips I can get.

Awesome :) When will you be applying to a nursing program, or have you?

I'm taking A&P1 right now and currently passing with an A :) It's a lot of hard work.

I appreciate the advice from allnurses.com to avoid just memorizing the anatomy and physiology but learn the function and purpose of the body parts and systems. Because it is important to understand the concepts and be able to explain and teach it to a child or somebody. We need to know our anatomy and physiology for our nursing fundamentals when we start nursing program. Also it is important to read, read and read chapters and then make flashcards of definitions of body parts and body systems. Then you should record the lectures and listen to them. Another helpful tip is to write out the answers to chapter objectives and critical thinking questions and this helps to remember pertinent concepts from the chapters.

Congratulations Chastityheather on your A!And yes, Anatomy and Physiology is a challenging subject matter.

So far I have applied to one nursing program about 15 minutes away from my home. I am hoping to be accepted to this school because its close to home and I've done all my prerequisites there and I am familiar with the campus and some of the Professors. Although there is different Professors for nursing program. But I will find out the end of June if I'm accepted. Will plan to apply at another community college if not accepted there.

Thanks so much. Hope you get in. Best of luck!
