I FINALLY GOT MY STETHOSCOPE! (update on ripoff report)

Published

Hi everyone!

I came home today and lo and behold my Master Cardiology Littman had arrived. I was so surprised because even though I had filed a complaint with VISA i thought it was going to take months as they said it might be up to 4 months...it was under 2 weeks so i was sooo happy to see it! Thanks to Visa i finally got it delivered otherwise id be out of luck because of of this rip off fradulent company...dont get me started on them lol. I guess Visa put the pressure on their A** to deliver on their promises (it was over a month overdue to be delivered and impossible to get ahold of the company...i guess im lucky because apparently there was several complaints against non delivery of items)

I tried it out and i can hear WAYYY better than with my littman lightweight stetho...its amazing! the only thing ill have to get used to is the whole light pressure = bell and hard pressure for the rest. I had purchased it online without trying out the differences bw the master cardio and the cardiology III and I eventually tried out the diff at our local university bookstore and i had acutally liked the cardiology III a little better because it had an acutal Bell on it...but oh well i got my master now and its still great!

Its just going to be really hard to get used to the whole tunable pressure thing...im used to the bell on a regular stethoscope!

wooohoo:balloons:finally happy about this whole situation!

ps: dont buy stuff off of random websites like i did lol !

You'll be surprised how quickly you get used to it.

Yay! I'm glad you finally got your stethoscope. What an effort, eh? Thanks for sharing the info with us about the fraudulent company though - now I understand why there are licensed dealers.

Supposedly....

Firmer pressure for lower pitches (like BP, and lung sounds) lighter pressure for higher pitches (like heart sounds, wheezes, NGT or ET placement). In most cases...

What I do is "lay" the diaphragm on the area and apply increasing pressure until the sound seems "focused". You'll quickly learn to differentiate the sounds you are hearing, as the above "pressure guide" does not always hold true.

I have come to prefer having one adjustable diaphragm.
