I failed my NCLEX 3 times and the remedial classes are too far away! What jobs can I do?

Published

I'm bummed and stressed. I've failed my NCLEX 3 times with "meet passing standards" all the time. Coming with experience from top notch hospitals in two other countries, this is hurting my self confidence.

Im looking into remedial classes but all the options provided to me is at least 6 hours away and with a military husband and an 11 month old baby, I'm running out of options. I have no one I know there that I can stay with so that just means more money.

I am sewing and selling my items to raise money for this but it's not enough and I'm feeling pressured everyday to provide for the family as well since my husband has his dad as his dependant as well as myself and the baby.

im exhausted from sewing 16 hours a day trying to pay for these classes that I may not even be able to attend and was wondering what other career can I look into. I'm broken and no one sees that. I just need something else to do to start being able to pay my bills.

Use a small amount of the money to buy a review book and study on your own. Practice some meditation techniques and have a talk with yourself where you give yourself permission to take the necessary time to be successful. Meanwhile, you can also look into certification as a CNA in your area. If the cost is too much, then look for jobs as a caregiver, where certification is not necessary. Best wishes.

Thank you. I've invested in multiple review books, review courses including Kaplan and others with satisfactory results on all my test averaging 70-80. I don't know if nerves for the best of me but I'm running out of options and money.

Thank you for your help.

Hey. I totally understand where you coming from, I have a fee resources I could share with you, I take my test in a few weeks. Just leave your email or something I can reach you with. And look around you a couple of states and some hospitals would pay for you to be Certified as A CNA thats what I did, it was totally free and they helped me get a job too. And myboss is keeping me after the test. I can help you with study materials and tips, I am an international nurse too. Just believ you can do this. This is just a little bump on the road, it will all be worth it in time to come
