I failed my FL NCLEX-RN for the 2nd time!! do you think i should sit for it a 3rd time or just register for NY and take their exam? I feel so defeated!! I hate the fact I have to sit for this exam again!!! I used UWorld and Saunders and still failed.

It's a national test, changing the state won't make a difference.

As mentioned above, where you take the exam is irrelevant- it’s NCLEX in all 50 states, territories, and international testing centers.

What would serve you best is utilizing your candidate performance report to identify your weak areas and put most of your focus into that material.

You might want to look into a test taking strategies class or resource. A large part of taking the NCLEX is just understanding how to dissect the questions to determine what exactly the question is asking and what are obviously wrong answers. You also want to avoid pitfalls when answering questions like "This is what we do at my place of work" or "These are the resources I had available at clinical..." It is a perfect world in the NCLEX and you have every resource available. Answer based on what is the safest, most appropriate intervention for the patient.

And as everyone else mentioned, it does not matter where you sit for the NCLEX. It is a national exam, so it will be the same exam no matter what state you are take it.

i passed!! Thanks for the advise and encouraging words...I am FINALLY an RN
