I did online and it was perfect for me. They were great. I was able to watch the lectures any time I want. I was able to rewind, pause, and look up a definition if something was not completely clear. I am also not a morning person, and after a few hrs of studying my brain shuts off and I need a break. With live reviews the instructor keeps going whether you are ready or not. I can't learn like that. So think about what works best for you. You can't go wrong with either or. They teach the same material.

I did the live review and loved it, but I think I would have had the same experience if I would have done the online review. During parts of the live review, we watched lecture videos. I didn't like this because I could have just watched the lecture videos on my own and would have rather had an instructor lecture in a live review than a video. But anyway, I passed the first time with Hurst so i highly recommend it. Good luck!

hey newgradbms and CareMare, after you finished the videos how did you proceed with studying? reviewing the notes or flat out memorizing the whole packet? not sure how I should move forward. how long did it take you to do the live review?
Thanks to all,for your suggestions
Hey! I watched the videos twice, and then I just used their packets to study. I just kept reviewing it & reviewing it until I had it practically memorized. Hurst wants you to memorize & fully understand their material. That's what I paid for & that's what I was going to do! Once I accomplished that, I moved onto to their question bank. I did these 5-6 days before my Nclex test date. They have 6 tests that are 125 questions each. I finished my 6th test 2 days before my actual NCLEX test. My test scores were between 82-91 points out of 125 points. I took my NCLEX & passed with 75 questions.
Hurst was the only resource I used ! And besides Hurst's questions, I did not do any other practice questions! 2 days before my test I took it easy, briefly reviewed material that was my weakness. At that point i felt like I couldn't do much; either I know it or I dont! I kept reminding myself that I studied as much as I could, I was going to do great, and it was time for me to become an RN! Even though I was nervous as heck, I kept repeating it & it gave me confidence when answering questions! :)
Thanks so much! Mine is next week and I'm starting to get nervous lol
