Hi, I take the NCLEX RN in three days and my current scores for the first three hurst q reviews are (90,101,96) / 125. I have completed the whole packet and watched all of the lectures. I will be finishing up the tests today and tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if I am on the right track? What were y'all's scores going into the nclex. Any tips? Thank y'all.

first off, congrats on graduating and planning on taking the exam. Your hurst review scores are good! Nobody enters the NCLEX RN exam feeling 100% ready, but take with you what you learned from Hurst and nursing school. I made a post on tips in another thread, some of it is more centered around Kaplan but it is applicable to NCLEX RN nonetheless. here: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/failed-nclex-2x-881672.html
Not included in that are to :
plan your breaks , i planned mine every 50 questions
bring brain food like trail mix and water
get your 8 hours of rest the day before and don't study!
they offer earplugs and scratch paper, use them if you need; i went through 3 sheets of scratch paper for 75 questions, on the far right side i made 4 columns of A/B/C/D and crossed out letters when i needed used elimination to answer a question.
Write key words/info from each question such as the type of question (prioritization/delegation/safety/etc) and pertinent info to help keep you from misreading/interpreting
Good luck on your test!
Thank you for the tips. I feel ok about the test, but like you said, will never feel 100% ready.

How did you like the Hurst Review? I am thinking about trying it.
I liked it. It's really good for content.

I can tell you are at least 80% ready now. Make sure you finish the last 2 tests and read all the rationales (including the one you get right). The last day you can read the final thoughts and the strategies. Then you are 90% ready to knock this nclex down . I just took NCLEX yesterday 1/3. Got "good popup" from pearson vue trick. I was wondering if I was on the right track to use Hurst Review ONLY or not too. After the test, I am confident to recommend the review to my friends. Their practice tests are very helpful. The topics, that I had seen while I practiced, helped me answered the real test with confidence! With the ones I never heard before, the core content helped me make good educated guess! I felt like I did another Hurst practice test when I took my test yesterday :) Of course, I also give credit to my nursing program which has prepared us well too. But I can tell you also have a very good nursing foundation knowledge by looking at your practice test scores. So, I believe that you will do great on this nclex! Be confident, believe in your self and best of luck to you!! (This is your 10% to make it 100% ) Keep us posted so we can celebrate with you!
Thank you so much! That was a really good confidence boost. I'm glad to hear that the nclex felt like a hurst test. That really makes a few of the jitters go away. The scariest part for me is not knowing what to expect on test day. I did my fourth test yesterday and scored 99/125. I'm going to finish up the last two today. Thank you! :)
5th test. Went down a little. 92/125 :/
Final q review scores in order. 90,101,96,98,92,94/ (125). Average of scores comes to 95. Am I ready? One day till test day.
If you've done everything from the Hurst Review like the plan they tell us. You are ready! Your average score is very good! Take your time to read the whole question and answer choices, be confident to pick the right one! Let us know how you think about it tomorrow after your test :)
