Human Biology before Anatomy?

Published

Hi again. :) so my school recommends taking an intro to human biology class before anatomy but is not required. Unfortunately from looking at ratemyprofessor. com the only teachers who teach that class are either complete jerks and/or just horrible teachers. (from what I read). Is human biology really helpful before anatomy or is it managable without the extra class?

You should definitely take bio if you have the time. It will prepare you and give you a basic knowledge for anatomy and physiology. I am currently taking anatomy right now and I really wish that I could have known about taking human bio before I took that class. I know that I could be doing much better in anatomy if I had taken it. But it is definitely manageable to take anatomy without human bio first. You just have to work hard.

Honestly, you should not believe all the ratings on ratemyprofessor. A lot of those students that write reviews are those who do not work hard for the class or do not get good grades, especially if you consider that human bio is a GE course. I have taken plenty of classes with professors that had low ratings and they turned out to be some of my best professors.
