Prerequisite courses are usually done before you apply to the program.
Each program is different. Have you contacted the school you are looking to apply to for specific information on their program?

Hi,
like the previous poster said you must complete all the prereqs that are required. Please check the school's actual prereqs this will be important because some schools may have slight differences. This will take about 1-2 years to complete. After that you can start applying to adn programs and BSN programs too. Although BSN programs are quite competitive right now and more likely hard to get into directly since you need the top GPA and possibly top test score if required. Adn programs are about 2 years the RN to BSN bridge program may be another 2 ish years.

Be sure to research the facilities in your area so that you set yourself up nicely for a job in the future. Some hospitals prefer to hire BSN nurses while other hospitals will hire ADN or BSN nurses. It all depends. Allow your findings to guide you.
There area also other threads here on the site that you might find helpful. Best wishes.

I would suggest you do a running start program while in high school to get some of your pre-reqs done, I would also consult with a Nursing Advisor
