2019-2020 HRSA Nursing Corps Scholarship

I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I hadn’t. The only email I had was stating I was a finalist

My contract was signed this morning as well. No email confirmation yet, but I checked on the portal and it says that it has been signed. I checked and J. King signed 1152a. Best of luck everyone!

Mine was also signed by Jamie Ming at 11:39 today. No email yet but just waiting.

My status still says In final review as well.

I know that the signature isn’t a definite that you get the scholarship but because of all of the glitches last year, I think anybody who sees a counter signature on theirs should probably download and save it as proof just in case. Screenshot if you must but be prepared to show that you were in final review in case there are glitches this year too. The signatures will be under the electronically signed contract on the fourth page under your electronic signature.

Hi everyone,

I also got my contract signed at 11:52 today by Jamie King. As @JourneyNP suggested I saved a copy of this contract. I also re-read the first paragraph of the contract and it did state this "The Secretary shall sign only those contracts submitted by applicants who are selected for participation." So I'm hoping we get a email notification sometime this week or next week! Good luck everyone.

I'm also wondering if we should create a FB group for all finalist that received a counter signature. I know that last year's group made one to respect others who haven't heard back.
