HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

Published

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

How did you sign the W4? I used the pdf signing. I hope that counts.

You need to sign the W4. After you fill out and upload those docs, you’ll get to the contract page. The contract is where the password counts as the electronic signature. Definitely sign the w4 though!

Thank you by the way.

No problem! I had to print it out and sign it because I don’t have a PDF signature thing on my computer. I’m sure it’s fine but if you give them a call and ask they’re really nice. It can’t hurt to ask.

Thank you! I ended up using the PDF signature thing, just seen this. I called earlier and the girl didn't even know what form I was talking about and sent me to a tax line LOL ?

Oh man, that’s reassuring...

From past years thread it seems some people didn’t find anything out until the end of August. I’m sorry, goodluck!

Thank you

Does anyone know the scholarship pays for out of pocket expenses? Like my nursing school requires BLS certification, uniforms, stethoscopes, penlights, and other supplies before school starts. Does the scholarship help with that?

They said it depends on your school and what they estimate the expenses to be

Congratulations to everyone who has been chosen as a finalist!! Does anyone know if they are done notifying finalists? My App still says under review, so I wasn't sure.

I saw last year people didn’t find out until the end of August even! So hold onto hope!

But yes you get an allocated amount for those expenses. I’m not sure when they do that though and it’s for the year.

Hi everyone! I had applied for the scholarship back in May without any expectations and it’s been on my mind more recently. I’ll be starting my FNP program this fall and I’m very confused about this whole process. If I haven’t received a finalist email yet, is it a red flag? Or will they continue to release these throughout the next few months? Any input is appreciated, thanks so much!

No, not a red flag at all. Past threads on allnurses show that participants have received finalists email in late August. I would pray on it and let God. Good luck! Everyone will know their status by September 30th.
