HRSA Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2022

Published

Hi everyone. Just starting this since I didn't see a thread for this application cycle. I received the NCLRP in 2009 and this is the 3rd time applying in the last 5 years.

NP with DTI ~150% and HPSA 17

Specializes in Anesthesia.

Received finalist notification yesterday.  CRNA at a rural hospital. HPSA score 18. DTI around 96%. Honestly didn’t think I’d qualify with that low of a DTI. Hopefully the extra funds stretch a good ways more than in previous years.

Specializes in Psychiatric Nurse Practioner.

Nurse faculty, first time applying. Received an email today that I'm a finalist! Just signed my contract.

Who has to cosign it?? Is it someone at HRSA or someone at my place of employment?

It will be co-signed by someone at HRSA.

Specializes in CVICU, CPCU, Cath Lab/IR.

RN, BSN. Still under review?

Specializes in RN3.

RN, BSN here and still under review.  This is my 4th year applying and I have not been awarded.  When I started my DTI was over 200% and now through hard work I have it lowered a lot but could really use the help.  I work at a qualified hospital in pediatric oncology.  just upsetting.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Have any non-mental health NP's received a COI for either program - Nurse Corps or NHSC? Still trying to hold onto hope here. I am in primary care and the only NP's I have seen post that they have received notice are PMHNP's.

PEDSNP - I did. I’m a cardiology NP and received the award.

Specializes in Anesthesia.

For those who received a COI and accepted, how long did it take to receive the counter signature?

Specializes in L&D.

Nurse CORPS LRP - I have finally received my countersignature from HRSA today July 18. Make sure to check your portal as I saw the signature before receiving any notifications. I received and signed my COI on April 21. I have an MSN but I am not an NP. I also have my PHN certification which I included in the application.

Wishing everyone the best of luck!

DTI - ~140%            HPSA Score = 14                  Credit Check March 17

Hi

First time applying here. I just received a credit check today , but the application shows under review still. I read the previous posts and it seems that people already received funding, I honestly lost hope. Anyone else get a credit check this late in the process ?

Just found out my acceptance into the program. Credit check was back in March! Good luck everyone

Congratulations shanon

Specializes in ER; Primary Care.

FNP working at a FQHC here, I’ve been accepted into the NHSC SUD LRP program.  I received my COI on May 1, received the counter signature first week of July, and got the notification via email of my acceptance on July 14.  No idea when my credit check was as I wasn’t watching for that.  I know this is the nurse corp LRP thread, but I think it got a little mixed together anyway. Good luck everyone!  This LRP will be a lifesaver for me.
