Howard Community College, Columbia MD Waitlist

Hello Everyone. I've just submitted my application for HCC's RN program for Fall '10. Would like to hear about anyone else's experience trying to get into this program including whether you were waitlisted or not? I applied for the evening program and am hoping there might be a small chance that I can get in, but I know I will most likely be waitlisted. I am in in county so I am hoping that helps me out a bit. We shall see! I've found a couple of people already, anyone else interested in this program?

i applied for the evening program fall 10. i got accepted. i am out of county. i guess since it's a lottery there is a 50/50 chance. good luck and i hope you too got accepted!! :)

Hey beauti,

Sorry for the late resonse as I am just now seeing your post. I ended up being waitlisted and I am IN county. But, I was a "spring finisher" so I could only apply for the second lottery. I wonder if that is what made the difference?

I was actually number 7 on the waitlist, but this last week I found out I am now number 1 on the waitlist so I am hoping I now have a chance of getting in for this fall! It is so hard not knowing for sure. They said that they could let people in all the way up until the day before classes start.

Are you ready to get started? Have you ordered your uniform and got all of those other requirements taken care of? I wish I could get started on those things but there is still a chance I wont be let in! So frustrating.

Hey! Hang in there and don't get discouraged. You are number 1 so that is great! I am very excited about starting. I've been on this site reading about study tips, first clinical experiences etc. I ordered my uniforms and am done everything except the urine test. Time really flys by once you get accepted though. Everything will work out for you! Good luck!!
