Hi everyone, I've completed all my prereqs for BSN programs but the wait lists here in southern california are ridiculous. I have some family in Colorado near denver and I'm wondering what kind of wait lists there are near the Denver area? I've heard good things about Colorado University, is the waiting as bad out there as it is here? I'm looking at 2-3 yr waits even for ADN program.

2-3 year wait for the CC ADN programs, but the BSN programs at the state universities admit competitively, but then it is very competitive. UNC in Greeley takes only 40-50% of all applicants.

All of the BSN programs I looked into in CO are competitive, once you apply you're either accepted or not. Occasionally a few people are put on a "wait list" (only until the start of the semester) incase there are others who are accepted but decline to enter the program. CU recently increased their GPA for applicants to a minimum of 3.0, but the average of accepted students is 3.8. I believe it's roughly the same for UNC. It can seem intimidating, I wasn't sure I really had a shot but I made it in :)
Best of luck to you!
