Flush with saline and cap it.
BittyBabyGrower: Cap what? The line?..If so, do I take a white cap from the NS syringe & put it on the line?
Also thank you for your speedy response :-)

Flush with saline and just slide the little clamp across tubing. Easy peasy :)

If no one has explained something to you, then you really need to take the initiative to ask one of your coworkers or possibly your clinical educator, not a bunch of Internet strangers who may or may not be telling you the truth.
I figured why not ask on allnurses before going into work tmmrw to have some idea...

I totally agree with this. Two people have given you two different answers, which one applies to where you work? Your best bet would be finding out at work.

What kind of learning style do you have? If you're predominently a visual and tactile learner, you might be benefit from watching youtube video demonstrations on flushing a saline lock and asking colleagues or the educator to show you how to do it.
"Why not ask on allnurses" is because you have no idea who anyone here is or whether they know a saline lock from their elbow. There's at least one frequent poster on these boards who enjoys providing snarky, sarcastic, and oftentimes plain wrong answers. Ask someone whose identity and licensure you can verify.

My question is what kind of nursing school and clinical sites did you attend where you don't know how to do this??
