Specializes in school nurse, SNF, peds.

This is my story I graduated from LVN school 2006, and gave my first attempt in May 06, second August 06, third December 06, and finally the fourth attempt May 07 and I PASSED................ was so happy that I did it. Than I went back to school to do R N with all the prerequisite and the program I graduated as an RN in Dec 2008. But due to some financial problems had to go to work full time and sick child. I was unable to give my exam now finally from last 2 months I been able to study and been planning to give my RN exam First time, I suppose to take it next week and I am not ready yet so I reschedule it to first week of December. Tonight on the dinner table we were discussing about my exam when to give and all that all off sudden my husband start saying if you pass the first time it is a bonus for you and if don't better luck next time everyone was sitting on the table. My whole family I was just like a stone. I felt like I known I have given a bad performance in past but does that mean this will happen to me again I felt so little that time  Its like only one person in the whole world was with me and now no one there to encourage me that i can do it I really don t want to go with the 4 attempts. I don't known what to do now So worried and stress out. :o:crying2::Crash:

he might not meant it that way...but i think u should let him know how u feel about the statement...

He more that likely didn't mean it in the way it was taken. He probably wanted you to know as far as he was concerned he was behind you whether you passed first time or had to resit it. Probably didn't want you to get stressed out studying

Sometimes when you have to repeat a test more than once you become more sensitive to the issue. This is your husband, let him know how you feel- if you don't let him know it may happen again. Good job with your LPN-you did not QUIT! You even went on to RN school with your personal issues. That was not easy. I know been there. Whether or not you make it on your 1st,2nd,or 3rd try, you will make it. You have already proven that. Best Wishes.

I sincerely believe he said that for you not t stress yourself and also for you to know he cares whether you pass the first time or not. your anxiety is giving you negative thoughts, don't allow that to happen. stop stressing about it, you can do it, you are a strong woman and for you to have come to this level, trust me, you can even move higher than that.

Don't let the mountain move you, move the mountain and bring it to a low land, yes you can. best of luck.

btw, what rn school did you go? that was so fast, including ur prereqs?
