How to reapply in NY state for NCLEX-RN retake?

Hi I already checked all the threads but can't find the answer for my question. I just want to ask the procedure for retaking in NY state. This is my second time? Do I still need to submit a reapplication form and pay them? And what are the requirements? When I received the letter from them that I failed there was no re-application form, no instructions also stating that. They just mentioned the registration to pearson vue. I just checked the NYS education website and there's no form for retakers. Hope you can help with this. Thanks.

You will need to pay the state as well as Pearson-Vue. Each application that you make is valid for only one attempt with the NCLEX exam.

Suggest that you check out the NY forum, this has been discussed there before.

you don't know me however, i'm hoping it will be okay to ask for a favor since you're the only one i know who can help me with my problem. like you i have a problem on how to retake NY NCLEX since there's no any information post or any instructions included in the letter that can help me what to do. luckily i've found your post and tried searching for NY forum but i did'nt find anything. can you help me please? can you tell me the steps on how to retake? i guess i have to pass the same application that can be downloaded at the nysed op, the one we passed before. but how can they know that i'm a retaker? please enlighten me. thank you very much, i'm hoping you'll have a chance to read this and the time to respond..

My board of Nursing is NY. If u retake the test...just register at pearsonvue. U dun hv to submit or pay anything to NY. No forms will be submitted! JUST CALL PEARSON VUE OR REGISTER AT THEIR WEBSITE. NY IS THE BEST NURSING BOARD......FRIENDY PEOPLE TOO.

that's correct mariobsnrn because I failed twice and only thing I had to do was pay pearsonvue...no need to re apply to the state

hi..this is my problem now,,eheh..i really feel so depressed ryt now coz i failed.i need to re take the exam..so all i hav to do is re register again pay 200$.and juz wait for att?thats all?and how long can i take the exam again?thanx anyway...

Yes...pay $200 to peaesonvue and wait for ATT. Wait 45 days and take exam again. Good luck
