Hello nurses..
I was curious how often the NCLEX is offered per year? Any particular months? Also, do you recommend an amount of time after graduation to study? Someone told me three months after I graduate should be a good time to take it. Does this sound about right?
Thanks for your advice:)

I don't know about all states, but I'd think like here in TX it's offered year around nearly anyday of the week. If u use Suzanne's Plan it takes 6 weeks to study. I personally recommend it. It helped me pass the 2nd time around, I just wish I would of found it earlier. But I think 6-8 wks after graduation should be the max time. Good luck and let us know on how things are going.

NCLEX is essentially offered all year, it is given in testing centers run by Pearson-Vue. Just not on Sundays and legal holidays for most centers. For specific schedules, as well as what is available for that time, you would have to check for the specific center.
ooooh! I was thinking it was only offered at certain times and certain months out of the year. thank you for clearing this up for me:thankya:

So much has changed (for the better) since they introduced intuitive computer testing.
Back in the dark ages it was offered twice a year (Feb & July as I recall) and we had to travel to specific cities to spend 2 days taking four 4 hour tests.
Then we had to wait upwards for 8 weeks to get our results in the mail.
