Hi! I live in Washington state and i plan on doing 2 years of prerequisites at a community college, then going to WSU to complete my bachelors degree, but i was wondering how much it cost you to get it, regardless of what state you're in. I was planning on getting my ADN and then doing an RN-BSN program, but my family members who are nurses advised me to go straight for my BSN, however i don't want to be paying off loans until i'm 40. Anyone have any answers or words of advice?

You have to look in your local area. Where I live it's BSN only if you want to work in hospital. If I were willing to drive 60 miles each way ADN is not a problem and the hospital will pay for you to do BSN. I couldn't do that 3hrs+ a day driving noooo way. I know several people that do

Community college is going to be way cheaper than almost any 4 year school. A better question might be how much debt did you accumulate in your traditional BSN. I had a scholarship that covered my tuition, so I paid for fees and books, probably 2k a semester. BUT, I lived on campus, which added to the bill. Do you want that figure included in the price?
Since I was a traditional-aged students, my parents were helping. They'd been saving for college since I was really little, and I got out of school with less than 10K in debt. It'll be a couple of months before I have to start paying back, but it's a really manageable payment.

I did LPN to ADN to BSN and the BSN portion of that cost me approx $12,000. I only took core courses at the University everything else was done at a community college or CLEPs.
