How long did it take before you got in? I'm just curious...

Thanks in advance!

applied once and got in

Specializes in ICU / PCU / Telemetry / Oncology.

I am interested in this answer as well. My application goes out next year and I am planning to only apply to one program. It's a gamble, but it's honestly the only program I want to attend and I am going to try my hardest to improve my odds in the meantime. I have plan B's in place but hopefully I won't need it.

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

In my area its mostly about grades. For my LPN program I applied to one and got in the first time. For the LPN to RN bridge program I applied to four and got in three, the fourth wouldn't consider an out of county resident which I didn't know when I applied. :(

i only applied to one program and got into that program the following semester...

Specializes in ER and Home Health.

Once. all it took.

Specializes in Endoscopy/MICU/SICU.
Specializes in ICU.

I applied to two. I ended up moving 80 miles just to go to nursing school. It was a sacrifice that I felt I had to make. It paid off.

Once here too - applied in June and started in January

When I applied it wasn't as crowded as now. I was accepted at all the programs I applied to, for the term I applied for, and was forced to choose which program to attend.

I got into the BSN program on the first try. Class of 2010. Luck I guess. Not so sure I "like" it though.

Applied at two schools, one a community college, and one university. Got into both. Got my letter in the summer for the cc, and could start in the fall. I had to wait one year before I could start at the university.
