The person who knows your present preparation status best is you. Most people give themselves from three weeks to three months to prepare. If you feel you need more, nothing wrong with that, likewise if you have retained everything from nursing school with exceptional understanding, one week of review could possibly be enough. Up to you. Good luck.

Totally up to you! I didn't even take time off to study. I took NCLEX 2 days after I got my ATT (Authorization to test) and passed in 75. When you feel like it's time, then it's time. Good luck!

I waited 4 weeks and wish I had taken it as soon as I received my ATT. I passed, but it was the added pressure of knowing that all my classmates who had taken the test had passed and I didn't want to break the streak!!
Good luck to you!

Graduated in May, took NCLEX July 12 and passed. Honestly didn't study tons - took Rutgers review class and spent weekend prior to NCLEX doing endless questions.

Graduated in May and took the test on July 12th also, i however, studied my butt off... did the kaplan and the ncsbn program (www.learningext.com) which i found to be helpful they have 3, 5, or 8 wk programs; it seems to be the closest to the nclex atleast in wording, because it is written by the same people. Good luck and make a plan that will work with your schedule and go for it when your ready!!
thanx for the support ,i thought people will work for months before writing nclex-rn.one more doubt is it better to concentrate more on theory or questions which will work out.
