I feel like I have a lot of Diabetic students. I have 4 Type 1 DM and 3 Type 2 DM... All of these require insulin. I have 2 additional Type 2 who take oral medications at home...

3 T1D - all pretty easy to take care of - they are compliant and parents are pleasant to work with.

Thank goodness for awesome parents! Most of mine are easy to take care of as well. I do have one that is autistic, but he does not seem to mind me much anymore. 🙂

Two type 1--one middle school, one high school.  Both are highly independent and compliant.

2, both T1D. Strangely, the entire student body is only about 300

I have one high schooler who is not great at his own care and I am constantly monitoring and he is always high and spends way too much time in the health office and I have one preschooler.  I am one nurse for a middle/high school and two preK/elementary schools. These two keep me up at night!

My son is/was T1.    It seems like things go in cycles.   I'll go a couple of years with no diabetics and then three will show up.   Same with many other health issues.
