How long will this outbreak last?

I understand that COVID will always be around and that it’ll be a while before a vaccine....

but will it really be chaotic in the hospital for the next 18 months? Although It sounds like our country is near the peak of the outbreak, and things will hopefully get somewhat better, will COVID stay a regular/frequent problem in all our hospitals until then?

Has anyone heard even a vague timeline? They originally told us a few weeks left of the outbreak at my hospital but I’m doubting this

due to some health issues, I am trying to minimize my time on the COVID unit, but if this is going to remain ‘bad’ for more than a few of months, I worry that I may need to start looking for a new job too 😞
