I'm sure every school out there is different, but I was curious to hear other people's experiences. Do nursing schools typically wait until after the application deadline to call you? What if you applied a month before? How long after you applied, did it take you to get called for an interview?

Usually they'd wait til after the application deadline, especially if they have a strict cap on the number of students.
My school (which is just painfully administratively disorganized--like moreso than most schools) had their app deadline in April, I had an interview around end of May, and I believe I got my offical acceptance call mid-Juneish.
One girl in my class didn't even get a callback until 2 days before classes started (in December) bcs she had been rejected, but then another student withdrew and they had an opening they offered to her.
Wait until the application deadline, and then if you haven't heard anything in a week or two, just give a follow up call to confirm that they're still reviewing candidates.
Good luck!
Thank you for the informative response! It's a little over a week until the application deadline, so my anxiety is through the roof. I know there's nothing I can do to make the days pass faster, but still!
I know, the anxiety is the worst part! Best of luck!!!!
