How Long Should I Wait???

As most of you may know I got my results yesterday and I failed. I was wondering how long should I wait before I retest. My test requires 45 days from the day I tested which was April 19, so that put me around June 5 or so. Anyway do you think that is too soon? All opinions are welcome.:welcome:

I also waited 45 days,...and scheduled my exam..I think the longer the wait..more chances to distract urself..but the shorter the wait..the more we will b into passing exam as the adrenaline will be still rushing in our veins..

But..its just my personal opinion.

i'd say full speed ahead! why would it be too soon? you just keep your head down and plow forward.

I agree, 45 days is long enough to get some great review work done but not too long to lose your focus... go for it!

Thanks for the replies I thought my questions was lost forever and would never get replies . I am trying to Suzzanes' plan but I may not have enough time to do all 4500 questions, but I am sure as *&$% going to try. I will be a nurse before this summer is over.:roll

Thank you for asking this question for me and all the responses are exactly how I feel too! I guess i just think that the longer I wait the more anxious and stressed Ill be and I still have fresh knowledge in my brain from studying for my last test! I bought Saunders edition 4, and I am starting today to try and do all 4500 questions in the book and CD rom! Wish me luck! And good luck to all of you too! Stay positive! There is power in positive thinking! I'm also gonna try to chillax some during these next 5 weeks lol:smokin: :cheers:that is just as important according to the saunders book. SOOn we'll all be able to put that sacred RN after our names! Ican't wait:nurse::[anb]:

before u start forget thing,,,,,take asap.........

we all know that even u study 6 to 7 months non stop, but the way they write nclex question.......its always difficult to answer. no stratgery gonna work there...... they mostly ask genral knowlege question......just take it.

the longer u wait.. u will get anxity,,,depress,,,no sleep,,,no eat,,,daily thinking abt exam...daily attacks.....so take it.

I say the earliest date available.

I would make a study plan for about three weeks (taking into consideration the retest window) to three months out, depending on how you feel about the previous process. Only you can tell when you feel as if you are ready. Don't be in a rush to reschedule after the minimum wait time just because it is possible. You might not be able to get fully prepared in that amount of time. Good luck.
