Just curious what most people out there are doing.
I've had classmates who gave themselves 3 weeks and classmates who gave themselves 3 months.

I gave my self 4 weeks, but the first two I wasnt that serious about studying. I would just study for about 2 or 3 hours a day. But then the last two weeks is when I put more effort and did a LOT of questions.

I graduated in May and planned to test the end of June. However, due to needing a couple of weeks to clear my head after graduation, having my two girls home from school all summer, dealing with a lot of personal stress, and not having the money to pay for the NCLEX, I've decided to test in mid September. Some people said I'd forget what I knew but going thru this Saunders book from cover to cover, has really taught me a lot of stuff I DIDN'T know in the first place.
How much time you need to study depends on the person's particular situation. I'd suggest doing Suzanne's plan. Those questions at the end of the Saunders chapters will really help you gauge what you do and don't know.

I plan to take the exam on November but I still dont have a testing date. I wonder if I can avail of Suzanne's study program now or does she really require that I should already have a testing date before I join the program?
I hope Suzanne can read this because I have been trying to figure out how I can send her a pm..Thanks a lot..

I gave myself roughly 4-5 weeks from graduation til I took the test. It should be enough time. I don't know if I would've been able to study anymore and changed the outcome of my test. But it really depends on you, and how you study.

I graduated June 26th, took the Nclex July 29th, did about a hundred questions a day, and a week before did about 2000 questions!
good luck you can do it! :yeah:

graduated the end of june, took the nclex last week.
studied for 4 weeks, but took the last 2 weeks before the test most seriously..
probably did 5000+ review questions, between books and cdrom questions!

I gave myself 8 weeks to prepare!! It was long since I was not that confident and well prepared for the exam.. I did this so I would be comfortable with myself.. I only used saunders and suzanne's plan... it really worked for me..

I graduate mid-may and took the test early june, 17 days total. I passed in one try at 75 questions. At least two days in there were days so I didn't get much studying done...
