Hi,
I am puzzled about something and I thought I would ask here because I am unsure where to ask.
I don't have to do this until next year, but I thought I would ask now to help me plan ahead.
Next year in September I will be starting school on my journey to be a nurse. One requirement to enter the CNA course is a 2-step PPD.
At my job, I have to have a PPD Test every year; usually at the end of August and I have it done at work. I work at a nursing home around patients in a non-nursing capacity. For my CNA course I will need to get the 2-step PPD at about the same time. The school does not accept completed tests more than six months old.
My questions are: When should I get the 2-step PPD test from my doctor? Is there a certain time period of how much time I would need to wait between the PPD at work and the 2-step PPD?
I was thinking of having the 2-step PPD test from my doctor around July of next year, then get my one-step PPD at work in August as usual. Is this an adequate (and safe) time gap between tests?
Thank you for your help. :)

Why don't you ask your employer if you can do the 2 step PPD with your doc and bring in a copy of the paperwork to them, and the school.
Or do the PPD with your employer and have your doctor do the second PPD and bring the paperwork from both to your school.
