How do I become a Diabetes Nurse Educator???

I'm interested in becoming a Diabetes Nurse Educator...what do I need to do to become certified as one??? Are there any special requirements??? I'm also interested in cardiovascular diseases...is it possible to become a certified educator in this area as well??? Please submit your input!

To become a CDE, you need to contact the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Also you might want to contact your local chapter. You have to have taught for a certain amount of hours to qualify to take the test.
