How do you find HH nursing for OB patients?

I have a good friend who is Aussie and she is also a nurse midwife. She is working here as a med/surg RN and is excellent. After 3 years med/surg is getting to her and she is missing OB so much. I suggested she go into HH for OB patients. I've heard of it once years ago. How would she go about find this kind of job? She would be working as an RN, she passed the NCLEX 3 years ago. I don't think her midwifery credentials are good here in the states? I really don't know. Thanks for any info.

wow that is a toughie. HH resources are hard to come by for moms. May want to check State Health Departments, or social services/workers for info on specific resources that may be available. Also if she will be near an Indian Reservation, can check w/Indian Health Services also. GOOD LUCK TO HER.

She could just work in L&D! I know a lot of NPs and CNMs who still do some shifts on the floor. It is tricky to not overstep your scope while working as an RN, but at least she would be doing what she enjoys! I'm sure there are many facilities that would love to have her. Maybe an MD's office? Has she looked into getting certified here?

About to show my ignorance here - I'm guessing "HH" is home health?

Our hospital works with Matria Healthcare to get moms T-pumps and Reglan pumps, that kind of thing. They follow up with those moms when they go home and up until they deliver. Worth looking into, I guess. Not sure if Matria is just around here in the South or if it is also elsewhere.

Hope that helps.
