Hi,
I am an International student , I have my RN license of California, However I would like to work at Indiana state . I found that Indiana state needs CGFNS for the international nurses what is that mean? should I have to give CGFNS and only I could endorse my license ? Can anyone has idea about it? what does it mean by required CGFNS? should you have to pass the CGFNS OR need to evaluate through CGFNS?
Please help me with this matter...
with great thanks,

As far as I am aware if you trained in the US then you only need to meet requirements as a US graduate. Usually CGFNS is required if you graduate from outside the US. VSC will be required because you are a International student however usually English exam is waivered and you only need a pass with NCLEX and just need your state to confirm you have passed NCLEX Just follow VSC instructions on the CGFNS website that is in the handbook
Have you read this? http://www.in.gov/pla/2506.htm
That is so helpful, I really appreciate it ,
TO silverdragon,
I am graduating my masters degree in gerontology sooner by this July, I am planning to do visa screening is there any site that says English exam will be waived? Thank you in advance

...but you got your BSN from the Philippines, right? To endorse your RN license from CA to IN, you need to pass the CGFNS exam because it is required in IN.
ya I did graduate my Nursing from Philippines. I was looking at the web site and it says temporary license what is that mean? Will I get one if I apply? It is so confusing some says I just need to do credential from CGFNS the web site of INDY says if the CABON could provide the original documents to IND it will be ok, I am really in dilemma..
