Do you have a Texas license? That would probably be one of the first steps. I assume you have the legal right to live and work there if you've already planned a move.
After you have a license in hand, just look up hospitals in the city you're moving to and see what their application process is.

Agreed. I have friends that moved from foreign countries and they all had to take a credentialing exam, we call NCLEX. After you pass, you're a nurse and can work. You would need to check the requirements of the state you are moving to for the exact requirements. Sometimes what my friends would do before they passed the NCLEX was work as a nursing assistant and sometimes the jobs they worked at would hire them as RNs afterwards.
Thank you.How can I get a job as a nursing Assistant then later prepare for NCLEX EXAM to start work as a nurse.
I would contact the board of nursing of the particular state you are looking to work and ask them the specifics, because every state has different rules.

To become a nurse assistant, you need to find a school around your area that offers the course. Ideally, you want one that takes no more than four weeks to complete, after which you take an exam and earn your certificate if/when you pass.

first and foremost, a green card from the USCIS, once you have that, sky is the limit---brushing up on written and spoken English would help
Can you help me share the school that offers 4 weeks program on Nursing assistant. Thanks
Any site to help get the green card or lawyer that can help because I am presently in West Africa, Nigeria to be precise.
I will prefer Colorado.Thank you
I don't know exactly where you live so here is a helpful link with accredited CNA training schools. They have their info so just make phone calls.

Community colleges may charge less but the programs may take a semester to complete. Semesters could take as little as 6 weeks or as long as 18 weeks. Ask before you apply.
