How can I appeal the decision ofthe NY state board of Nursing?

I took the NCLEX-PN exam on Sept 28th. I got a pass from pearson vue but I still don't have my license yet. When I called the NY board to ask questions the answer was "we are questioning your moral integrity ". Your file is under review because you went to a School that we has been closed, Even if you went back to a different school a as requested by the NY board, we are questioning your moral integrity. We will reach out to you soon.

Can anyone help?

I am confused. Are they saying that you are claiming to have graduated from a school that was closed before you graduated? They are questioning your moral integrity and not your transcript, can you be more specific as to the issue?

"Even if you went back to another school as requested by the Board" - so they asked you to go back to school? And you didn't? Couldn't? Wouldn't?

I went to America Health in 2008. Turned out to be a big scam. So I recently graduated from a different nursing school in August, took my board in September, and pass. But still don't have a license.

"Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, or moral uprightness". There is something that has been submitted or you told the BON that was deceitful, in their opinion that makes them question your moral integity.

It doesn't sound like there's any decision to appeal yet. You are under review, you haven't been denied a license. At least not yet.

I doubt moral integrity is tied to one's choice of school. There is likely more to this that we aren't hearing. Good luck, OP.

Why are they questioning your moral integrity?

On what grounds are they questioning your moral integrity?

Have the asked the BON how to appeal? Although it doesn't sound like they have made a decision yet, so there seems to be nothing yet that you could appeal, as pointed out above.

I wonder if perhaps you filled out your application incompletely or incorrectly. That's because your information given here is insufficient for anybody to really be able to answer you.
