Houston Nurse Residency Winter/Spring 2024

Hi everyone! I will be graduating with my BSN this semester and I'm applying for residencies in the Houston area. I already applied to Houston Methodist but wanted to hear about other programs that might be interesting. Best of luck!

Hmm I think it might be different per unit. Because I just had my interview on Wednesday, I know they still had a few more to get through & she said she wasn't sure when they'll reach out but on average it's usually a week. We'll see, fingers crossed!

no ? I'm starting to think they're either forgetting about us who got our application sent to our second choice or they're just taking their sweet time. I srsly can't imagine anything taking this long fr

Interviews for second choice started today and end on Friday so I'm not sure about the possibility of them sending out an updated list. I never heard back from them either even after I sent an email asking about it ?

Totally feel you ! I'm moving once a graduate and the process is very discouraging, I also have a interview tomorrow for them as well.

I hope we get offers!! I'm fr saying prayers bc this is kinda my last option besides the VA

I went today for a medsurg interview but it wasn't my second choice. my second choice was for L&D at sugar land but I haven't received an update

Last cycle I kinda went through the same. Your 2nd choice was probably filled via the people that selected as their 1st choice (they get a lot of applicants and if somebody declines they have a pool to choose from if it's a really popular unit). I received an email 10 days after 2nd choice interviews concluded letting me know all the units that were still available. It was mostly medsurg and some ER, but they do send them. 
 

This whole process really sucks for sure but hang in there!
