Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Did anyone get a confirmation email from Methodist after registering? or do we not get anything unless we are chosen to get the behavioral assessment? Just making sure I registered correctly.

Good luck! I applied to TMC ED and Woodlands ICU. Did you get any type of confirmation email? I didn't, just wanting to make sure I completed the registration correctly.

Hi guys- I heard from a girl in my nursing school that if you applied to Methodist before February 1st that you will need to reapply! I want to make sure that everyone's application gets in

Also I saw that Harris Health's residency application is open, however on the job posting it says its for LBJ. I want Ben Taub, does anyone know if this application is ONLY for LBJ or will it be for all the hospitals?

Did you mean to say HM (houston methodist)? I didn't think Memorial Hermann was open yet until the 14th

FYI I believe the next thing Houston Methodist will send out is some sort of assessment/survey via email - not sure when to expect it though

Yes that’s what I meant (HM as in Methodist) I keep doing that by accident. MH opens the 14th.

I got an email from the general program contact that once the application period closes, they review the applications and will send a prescreening assessment out to those who meet the requirements. So looks like at best we won’t hear until after Feb 15 for Methodist.

I also got an email from the program coordinator for the GN residency at St. Luke’s who said theirs was going to open up today, but so far I havent found the application yet. Maybe it will be up tomorrow?
