Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Did anybody get a rejection from CMHH? I never got contacted and I wish they would just send me a rejection so I could move on LOL

Also have any of the March 8th tch people that were waiting for a phone call this morning get one?

Right! My application online for MH still says received but I haven’t heard anything ?

At this point just send the rejection letter or at least change my status to denied cause I need closure. In all seriousness though, why can’t we get jobs without going through the residency? Cause these spots are so small so I don’t get it. I’ve searched everywhere for nursing jobs but they want a year experience. I didn’t know it will be this hard

Yes they did! And I applied the day the app opened on the 8th! don't get discouraged I thought they weren’t gonn

Right I said the same! I graduated last semester and I never got a hospital job so I settled for home health in the mean time to apply again. Most of the units hire 2-3 new grads each with thousands of applications its crazy

Did anyone apply for Hermann Southeast hospital and did you hear anything from them yet? Seems like they've only contacted those at TMC or Heights hospital.

I saw on Memorial Hermann's facebook page they extended the Nurse Residency application deadline to 2/23 - I wonder if that could have pushed match day back for some locations.
I'm surprised no one on this forum has heard anything from Memorial Hermann Memorial City or the Woodlands locations.

I have honestly been doing everything in my power to not apply to HCA Healthcare hospitals ?

ICU as my first choice. Sarofim IMU at TMC as my second choice.
