Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

I finally got a text and email from Memorial Herman! I scheduled my interview already. 

HF ICU...What does that mean Heart Failure??

I am so geeked! There is still hope for us all ?

Do y’all think TCH is calling everyone? When I talked to them, that’s kind of the impression I got but I wasn’t sure!?

I think so LOL as long as you meet the requirements but like someone mentioned before that’s a lot of calls...

I just asked one of my classmates who has a way higher GPA than me if they called her and she said no. So IDK what the criteria is

Yeah that sounds crazy! You would think they would have just asked what units we were interested in on the application so they didn’t have to call everyone!!

Did you originally choose that unit? I guess they might’ve given you to another unit? I hope they do that for me
