Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2021

I wanted to start a thread since Memorial Hermann is having their Pre Match Open House.   Was anyone able to attend The Woodland's zoom?   I missed it and was wondering which units would be hiring?

Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it! Is that from personal experience or what you heard from others? Anything else you can share would be great because I might have to prepare myself to work for them. 

I did some search on HCA  in allnurses and found mostly negative posts from out-of-state; so I like to hear experiences from the Houston-Texas area. I read the Glass Door reviews and they write about high patient load and poor management which is similar to other health systems. 

I had an interview with MH last week. I hope I hear back from them. I have an offer from Encompass but would rather work in a hospital than a rehab. Hence HCA is my only option for now.

If you’re not already, I would go join “Houston Nurses” facebook group. Ask them about HCA, majority will tell you exactly what @Moosemom said. I’ve spoken to a lot of nurses that said avoid HCA. I use to work at HCA as an extern. I wouldn’t recommend.

Not yet, the lady that interviewed me said we should hear back within 2-10 days
