hospital rating

I recently changed jobs and my wife is currently attempting to find a job. During this process we've been looking online for reviews and ratings that might have been posted about various facilities. Unfortunately, these things are very difficult to come by. I know that we wouldn't want a thread where we name names, but why not have sticky thread polls set up in each state's board listing hospitals and a short rating system (see sample topics below). This way it remains anonymous (so the threads would only be for voting and not for commentary) and for a change, nurses put the hospitals on notice like what happens to many of us with former mngrs who we didn't get along with or with evil groups such as Group 1. And on the other hand, hospitals that treat their employees well would get that deserved recognition) Why wouldn't there be a site out there like this already?

Rate of compensation (1-5, where 1 is poor and 5 is excellent)

Benefits (1-5)

Scheduling (1-5)

Staffing ratios (1-5)

Management (1-5)

If no longer working at facility, would you consider working there again?

etc.

Maybe something like this would require it's own website...

I think it's lovely idea...but that's just my 2 cents...

Just did the whole job search and comparrison of benifits and balanced wages with costs of living to maximize profits and staffing ratio and ability for further education. I've made spreadsheets on this stuff to help in my decision, I can say I would have loved and appreciated the extra sleep if something like this was available to me.

magnet is an indicator, but opinions of the employees is a better one as the sample of poll participants increases; and what about folks who live in an area with no magnet hospitals; does that automatically mean the hospitals there suck? of course not

I would much rather know the inside info that Magnet or PG could never provide to anyone! Good idea, but try sending a post to the suggestions thread!
