It seems that each time I look into a hospice RN position (primarily home hospice), the pay is significantly less than a hospital position.

Are others seeing the same?

Thanks

I think it depends on the agency and the service area, the competition, etc. I started out making more in hospice than I did in med/surg.

Similar to the post above, I'm making far more than I did in telemetry/medsurg as a home hospice registered nurse.

Same as previous posts. I'm earning much more than I did in Med-Surg

I started with hospice within our hospital system, in the summer, taking a pay cut. Our system just equalized the home health employees with hospital employees based on years of experience, so now I got a large raise and now make the same as hospital nurses. It made me very happy!

I would probably still be with hospice if they paid anything, which they do not in my area.
