Honored by the entire state legislature and govenor today!!

Oh wow! What a morning I had!

I won a scholarship by the NH Order of Women Legislators.

I had to go to the state house this morning and was honored with the other recipient (ALSO A NURSING STUDENT!!!) right after opening ceremonies of the first day of the legislative session in front of everyone and the govenor and media!! This is a huge deal as NH State Legislature has 400 members (largest in the US) plus the Senators and our govenor who I got to speak with for a few minutes! It was an amazing experience and one I will not soon forget for sure! Heck the recognition is almost better than the money!

There was so much going on in the state house today and evidently they will have a parade this afternoon as well just to celebrate opening of the legislative session!

The other woman who received it was also a nursing student from another college up north so I was very happy that they gave cudos to us future nurses. I have "turned her on" to allnurses.com and I am sure she will be addicted very soon if I have my way!!

I think it was posted at our school. I will be announcing the scholarship next year when it applications are being taken again. I will be keeping in touch with some of the women legislators as they were awesome and one lives less than a block away from me and I never knew her!!!
