Hi everyone,
I have an interview in February at Wolford college. I have read all of the blogs on this website and am very concerned if i should even be wasting my time and pursue this interview?? For the people who have attended Wolford is it a good school?? Does it match up to all of the other anesthesia schools in the state or across the US?? Do you feel you are prepared to perform by yourself in the OR?? Do you feel you get enough experience?? Is it better to go to one of the other clinical sites, will that give you better experience??? Looking for some input back. I heard that they accept any and everyone to the school that applies?? Is that true???

I interviewed at Wolford and was accepted but ended up at another school for various reasons. It's true that a high percentage of those INTERVIEWED are accepted but I'm sure that is not the case with the majority of applicants to the school.
You will have to take the previous posters at their word I think. Some have had a terrible time there and others think it's a great school. Take your pick. There are pros and cons to every school I've every heard about on these forums.

hello,
I'm not a student at Wolford, but I did receive an interview back in September that i never went to. I'm from Michigan and it appears that everyone who does apply there gets an interview??? I'm not so sure about this school to tell you the truth... I chose not to attend my interview because I knew I didnt want to relocate to Naples because of finances. BEautiful city but veryyyy expensive. Good luck!

well, i understand your concern completely. i had an interview scheduled for feb. also but cancelled it because i found out i got accepted to another program. wolford was my last pick of 3 that i applied to. my problem is i don't personally know anyone who attended the program so it is very difficult to make a solid judgement....the only info i know about wolford is what i read on forums.
good luck and hope someone can help you.
